With the support and partnership of TD Bank and the Arbor Day Foundation, the Greater Newburgh Parks Conservancy will be planting 13 trees this Friday morning.
The Conservancy is excited to participate in TD Tree Days and to work with the principals and staff of Graphic Technology Inc. (GTI) to plant some very impressive trees that will provide essential environmental and public health services to the community for decades to come. GTI is giving us access to a perfect planting location with none of the usual constraints of overhead wires and tight sidewalks. So, we'll plant trees within just a few feet of two City streets that really need shade, in an industrial part of the City in dire need of beautification! We look forward to planting and caring for some beautiful specimens that will become majestic providers of oxygen, shade, and habitat for one or even two centuries!
"GTI is pleased to sponsor the planting of thirteen trees in our community. These trees will enhance Newburgh by providing shade, fresh air, and beauty. We support the goals of the greater Newburgh Parks Conservancy and appreciate TD Banks sponsorship of this project,” says Bob McCurdy, President, GTI Graphic Technology, Inc.
